“Are you sure you can work with your parents?” “Do you get along with your mom?” “Can you listen to your dad’s jokes all day?” These are just some of the questions that people have asked me when I told them I’ll be working full time for New Directions Consulting. My answers so far have been “Sure!” “Absolutely!” and “We’ll see…” respectively.
My name is Missy Goldwasser Carvin. I’ve watched New Directions grow and change practically my whole life, and now that we’re expanding our innovation and ideation services, I can’t wait to take on that challenge. I hold a B.A. in theatre and history from Hartwick College , and have a great love of improvisation and creativity. I’ve attended several sessions at the Creative Problem Solving Institute, run by the Creative Education Foundation.
All of this means that I’m very excited to be joining New Directions Consulting, Inc. as Director of Creative Services. I’ve been working for the last six years as a Field Executive for the Girl Scouts of Westchester*Putnam. And now, with the arrival of my own daughter, Abby, it’s time for a change.
New Directions has been part of my life for a long time, and now I’m happy to be a part of it! Together, we’ll keep the company vibrant, exciting, versatile, relevant and, as always, helpful to our clients for years to come.
