I’m baaaack … from London
Didja miss me? Wait, don’t answer that. Unless the answer is yes, in which case, answer. Wait, I’m confused.
Anyway, I’m back from my whirlwind tour of London and Prague with pictures and stories and such. Mom and I had a great time and the conference (i.e the reason we went in the first place) was AWESOME.
We had a lot of fun in London. I spent Saturday afternoon walking around Kensington while mom caught up on the sleep that had eluded her on the overnight flight. I guess all the working out I’ve been doing has helped my endurance, because I felt really great even after that looooong walk. It kind of gives me hope that I’ll maybe, possibly be able to keep up with the girls in my troop when we go back this summer. Ha!
Anyway, by Saturday night, we were pretty bushed and decided to go on one of those cheesy double-decker bus tours of London by Night. It was fun, and COLD, and I got a lot of halfway-decent shots of London landmarks. (More photos from the whole trip here.)
On Sunday, we had a bit of a lie-in, saw the Victoria and Albert and went to Mass at Brompton Oratory. Then we met up with a wonderful friend of mine from high school who’s moved to London and gone native. We had tea at the National Gallery and then treated ourselves to dinner at Simpson’s in the Strand, which is a London institution, I tell ya.
Monday we headed off to Prague, but that’s another story for another blog post. Stay tuned…
