I definitely would have sent it back. Especially because it wasn’t sealed.

Not paranoid, especially since you have not used this particular product previously. If it was something you were familiar with, and confident it was the correct product and only a little had leaked, that may have been a different story. In this case, I believe it is the right decision to be cautious.

NOT PARANOID AT ALL! I would have sent them back as well. You don’t screw around with your kid(s). Not to mention the fact that you paid for a full, unopened bottle of said product. You did not pay for a leaking bottle of goo.
