One of the fun things about living with a pond in the front yard is the ability to study nature up close and personal whenever I want. For instance, I know that if the pond turns brown and muddy, it’s probably because the culvert from the stream is blocked and I need to get [...] It’s been a little crazy around here. Since I last posted, I’ve been to CPSI for a week, then to Rome for 4 days, then catching up on all the work that all that travel entails. I’m going to LA next week and then I’m home but busy until we leave on vacation. Once [...] There’s been a lot of talk lately about whether or not the world is going to end right around 6:00 p.m. EDT this Saturday night. You know, all 4of them. And I figured that I made it [...] Some days are just too grown-up. Like when you’re working hard on a project, juggling 50,000 volunteer things, and finding out that your educational plans for your child aren’t going to work out. And it’s just after lunchtime. That’s been my day and I was feeling entirely too adult. No, that’s not right. I [...] So in an effort to kick-start my metabolism into any gear besides “molasses” in time for our blow-Abby’s-head-off trip to Walt Disney World, I’ve been keeping a food journal and trying my best to exercise 3-4 times a week, minimum. And for the past 2 weeks, I’ve been pretty successful. [...] |
