Wednesday was a long day. It started out innocently enough, what with getting Abby signed up for swim lessons and successfully navigating lunch. But then I got caught up in updating a PowerPoint deck and almost didn’t notice when it was time to leave for the airport. Abby, Mom and I piled into the car [...] I need a t-shirt that says “I survived a European adventure with a bunch of teenagers!” Although, come to think of it, that would be a bit wordy for a t-shirt. Let me tell you though, that the verb “survived” still feels like the correct one. Maybe someday it will be “remember fondly” or even [...] OMG, you guys! I still have a blog! And I remembered the password and everything all by myself! So I’ve been away for approximately 80 lightyears, having gone to Maine and then to London, Paris, Adelboden and Lucerne before flying home through Zurich. And I know, poor me, to be tired after what amounts to 3 weeks off. [...] Holy crap, we have a lot of stuff we’re dragging with us on vacation! It’s 95% piled in the front hallway. Looking at it all stacked to the ceiling, I can’t help but wonder about the physics of cramming THAT much stuff into the trunks of 2 Toyota Priuses (Prii?). Despite our best efforts, we may [...] Didja miss me? Wait, don’t answer that. Unless the answer is yes, in which case, answer. Wait, I’m confused. Anyway, I’m back from my whirlwind tour of London and Prague with pictures and stories and such. Mom and I had a great time and the conference (i.e the reason we went in the first place) was [...] In Dallas. At an awful hotel. Really, really bad. So bad it’s taken me this long to even try and write a post about it. So bad. The concept was “New York Loft.” The hotel name was NYLO. Get it? NYLOft? Yeah. Lame. The whole thing looked like some Texan’s idea of what a converted NY warehouse [...] We just got back (almost a week ago) from a fun family vacation in Florida with the delightful Miss Abigail. No we didn’t go to Mickey’s place. Not this year anyways (hint, hint). Instead, we stayed in the Sarasota area at Grandma and Bapa’s new winter home. Our vacation started with a very early flight from [...] I put up a post about my concerns (neuroses) about traveling with Abby at AdoptingMamas yesterday. I helped Abby start her nebulizer treatment, which by all reports has been a miracle worker and she’s off to school today, and headed out to the car at 8 yesterday morning.
