Yes, this is the obligatory snowy day post. It snowed. In fact, it’s still snowing. One of my friends says the radar looks like a winter hurricane. Whoopie. Abby’s school was canceled before she got in the car last night. Brian emailed to say he’d be working from home before we went to bed. [...] What a month I’ve had today, er, yesterday. I helped Abby start her nebulizer treatment, which by all reports has been a miracle worker and she’s off to school today, and headed out to the car at 8 yesterday morning. We got to the airport, paid a king’s ransom to check our 4 bags [...] Thanks to my friend Emily for the great post title! I am writing this very late at night. It ALWAYS seems to be late at night these days, even first thing in the morning. ESPECIALLY first thing in the morning. I know that I’ve written about how busy we are, but with marathon slogging [...] As you read this, I am in Cincinnati, working my buns off on a Building Blocks(sm) study. I love what I do, which is great, and I travel a lot when we’re busy. Abby was mad at me today (yesterday) when I dropped her off at school. She wouldn’t even let me carry my [...] From Ren Faire I have pictures (somewhere) of my first Renaissance Faire experience. I had no idea what to expect, but I went with a group of friends and we had a blast. Some big Scottish guy told Brian he was naked for running around in his shorts and needed a proper kilt. [...] Or: What I Did on My Summer Vacation. By Missy Carvin. I spent all day packing and sorting and re-packing. Figuring out what could be sent down with my brother and arrive on Sunday, and what we absolutely needed to have with us when we arrived on Saturday. We woke up, packed the car [...] My baby is in bed (early) with fever (again). I was never a fever worrier before. But after Abby had a febrile seizure on our first day of vacation, I find my hands flying to her forehead to check her temperature more and more often. We had a fabulous day today. We went to [...] Mom and I drove upstate to attend the funeral of a dear family friend’s family member. (Figure that out at your own risk.) And the drive through central New York was just gorgeous. The weather cooperated and all was good in the land. But I had a few very important thoughts along the way.
