Easter is a fun holiday at which to measure Abby’s growth and development from year to year. It’s usually right after her birthday, and I can usually fire off a few pictures before she gets covered in chocolate. On Abby’s first Easter, she was just about a month plus a week old. Being a good girl, she silently climbed in bed between us and lay there quietly (if not restfully) until 6:00 at which point she stage-whispered “Daddy, get up. Anyway, I’m back from my whirlwind tour of London and Prague with pictures and stories and such. Mom and I had a great time and the conference (i.e the reason we went in the first [...] So, Saturday Abby and I attended her friend Taylor’s Princesses and Pirates birthday party! And it took place right! At! Naptime! Hooray! After refusing to so much as “take a rest” after waking up at 5:00 in the morning (oh yeah, have I mentioned the 5:00 wake up calls we’ve been getting every morning?? [...] Alternate title – In Which Abby Does NOT Discover Firsthand Whether or Not There Is Truly Eternal Life After Death. Abby got out on the wrong side of the bed yesterday morning. Nothing seemed to be going quite right for her. Her cereal wasn’t to her liking, she didn’t want to put on [...] Remember a couple weeks ago when we had a snow day and I somehow managed to misplace the pictures? Well, last week we had not one but TWO snow days around here as we had our own version of the Snowpocalypse. And I even remembered to take photos this time. And not delete them! [...] Answer: pretty kick-ass! We worked on the castle cake Friday night to make sure it was finished.
